Tracy Place Giving Circle

The Tracy Place Women’s Action Group (TPWAG) is a metro-Washington DC-based group supporting candidates who focus on issues such as fighting for democracy, voting rights, sensible gun policies, women’s rights, and climate change through canvassing, letter and post-card writing, phone banking and fundraising. Because we believe that state lawmakers are currently the most important policy makers in the country, the group has been supporting the work of The States Project. By raising more than $100,000 since 2022, the TPWAG has contributed significantly to the success of The States Project in holding and/or flipping seats in the State Legislatures of PA and VA. This year we are focused on raising funds for the state legislative races in VA. One of the greatest features of these efforts is that it provides monetary support to the selected candidates, allowing them to spend less time fundraising, and more time knocking on doors and meeting their constituents. The funds are used for ad testing, TV and radio spots; digital and mail communications; research and polling; and in-state staffing and operations.
