A giving circle by Network of Engaged International Donors
About our group
Network of Engaged International Donors (NEID) Giving Circles offer our members a journey that helps them learn, connect, inspire, and act. This journey provides members access to experts, to other donor peers, and to safe spaces to learn from each other. Over the last two years our Giving Circles have provided NEID members an intimate opportunity to learn about how to support women’s empowerment by educating men, how to fund and support anti-trafficking efforts, how to support refugees, how to fund climate change efforts, what funding looks like at the intersection of climate mitigation and health, and how philanthropy can contribute to solving these global challenges. Giving Circle participants have also enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the grant making process itself and particularly enjoyed getting to know each other.
Globally we are seeing a growing awareness that climate change will require us all to change our way of life to save our planet. The voices that are raising our awareness are a range of different social movements that are pushing for climate justice and climate change. This NEID Global Giving Circle will take a closer look at these movements and how to effectively support advocacy and social change.
Our Climate Justice Giving Circle will begin in December of 2020 and will meet monthly from December to May. NEID Global membership is required to participate in a Giving Circle and each participant will ultimately be expected to contribute funds. NEID Global members will be asked to contribute a minimum of $1,200, while new-members are asked to first become NEID Global members ($500) and then contribute $1,000 to the Circle.
