This article was written by Charity Bridge Fund, a nonpartisan platform bringing donors and nonprofits together.
There are countless nonprofits in need of philanthropic support. But how do you find the ones that have the most urgent needs?
Enter Charity Bridge Fund.
Launched in 2025, Charity Bridge Fund is a nonpartisan platform bringing donors and nonprofits together. It is the first consolidated resource that identifies individual programs that have seen reduced or eliminated funding streams due to federal actions.
Charity Bridge Fund is a trusted resource for information on funding reductions and a hub for channeling aid to organizations in need. Key pillars of Charity Bridge Fund’s mission are to provide increased visibility for nonprofits, share impact stories, and connect nonprofits with new donors.
Charity Bridge Fund is partnering with Grapevine to provide their expertise to Giving Circles and bridge the funding gap in communities across the country.

Meet Charity Bridge Fund Founder, Kendall Webb
Kendall is a true pioneer in online philanthropy, with over 25 years of experience in shaping new avenues for charitable giving. She joined the founding team at More.com, which was one of the earliest e-commerce platforms. While there, she realized the power of the internet, which led her to launch one of the first nonprofit digital donation platforms in 2000. She transformed philanthropy by developing strategic partnerships, advising on donation infrastructure, and ensuring that giving back remains accessible, transparent, and impactful.
Kendall is a passionate leader, who is driven by community engagement. As a Harvard undergraduate, she helped launch WorldTeach, a global education nonprofit. She volunteered in Africa throughout her career and is deeply involved in her local community, as an activist and volunteer EMT.

Q&A with Kendall
What inspired you to start Charity Bridge Fund?
Charity Bridge Fund is actually a next-generation initiative from JustGive, the digital giving platform that I founded in 2000. We sold JustGive a few years ago, but my passion for the social sector was still really strong.
When I saw funding to nonprofits being cut at the beginning of 2025, I kept asking myself, “what can I do to help?” So I founded Charity Bridge Fund in answer to that question. I have built my career in philanthropic giving and knew that this was the time to lean in and support nonprofits in the way I knew best.
Can you tell us a bit about the impact of your organization?
Right now, we have over 100 nonprofits sharing their stories and projects on the Charity Bridge Fund site. A third of those have already received new funding.
It has been incredibly heartwarming to speak with nonprofits and see the hope Charity Bridge Fund is bringing them when they need it most. We provide a reminder that what they do is vital and that there are people in the background working to support them.

What kind of projects are listed on Charity Bridge Fund?
Charity Bridge Fund supports projects across many different cause areas. Some examples are a food bank responding to hunger in Connecticut, a lab researching developmental cognitive neuroscience, and a nonprofit supporting the needs of youth in foster care in Washington.

How can Giving Circles benefit from Charity Bridge Fund?
Charity Bridge Fund aims to be the “bridge” between nonprofits and donors. We provide a platform for nonprofits to share their stories, including the short- and long-term impacts of funding cuts. This way, it's not only easy for donors to find the nonprofits with urgent needs, but it’s also easy for them to understand what’s really at stake in this moment.
We also curate trusted reporting and create researched-backed blog posts that highlight how federal funding cuts affect nonprofits across the country and the communities that rely on them.
How can Giving Circles use Charity Bridge Fund to support nonprofits?
Giving Circle members can visit charitybridgefund.org and explore nonprofits across a wide range of cause areas. That includes organizations working to fight climate change, supply overseas aid, provide essential care for people in need, and more.
For Giving Circles, the platform can act as a discovery and research tool. Members might identify a nonprofit facing an urgent funding gap, learn more about their work, and then bring that organization back to their Giving Circle.
For example, a member could nominate the nonprofit within their Giving Circle so the group can review it together and decide collectively whether to fund it. Members may also choose to support a project individually if it aligns with their personal giving.
Ultimately, our goal is simple: to help nonprofits get the funding they need. Whether that support comes through a Giving Circle or from individual donors, we want to make it easier for people to find organizations doing important work and respond when communities need help most.

When should Giving Circles get involved with Charity Bridge Fund?
Now. There has never been a more critical moment for donors to step forward to support the social sector. Supporting these nonprofits now is far more effective, far more humane, and far less economically damaging than facing the much greater social and economic costs of losing essential community services in the years ahead.
Does Charity Bridge Fund have a Giving Circle?
Yes! Charity Bridge Fund has created a Giving Circle on Grapevine to support nonprofits impacted by funding cuts. We just launched this in February 2026 and are looking forward to building momentum. You can find out more here.
