Why I joined Toledo Women Together
Hi there! My name is Alex and I work at the Toledo Humane Society. I studied Marine Biology in order to help save sea life, but in Ohio, that's a little difficult to do. Having grown up in the Toledo community and having my loved ones here, this is just home. When I was younger, we would always give the dogs at THS some extra love, so having the opportunity to work at THS was a dream come true. Starting out as animal care, moving to supervisor, and now working in a department that allows me to raise life-saving funds and continue to be a voice for the voiceless is something I am so incredibly passionate about. As for why I joined this group... I want to work alongside like-minded women who want to do good for their community. Working for a nonprofit, bettering the community for others is something I believe strongly in and is at the core of who I am. I can't imagine any better group to join than one dedicated to women who come together for the sake of their community. There is power in kindness and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with you all! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone in this group better!
