Why I joined Los Angeles Professional Women for Good
Those Who Wonder's mission is to elevate the voices of those who are marginalized - women, BIPOC, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ people. This means that we will lift up creators in these communities both on-screen and off-screen. We can't call something truly inclusive unless both those that are visible to the audience as well as those who aren't visible to the audience are diverse. We not only want to see these communities, we want to hear from them. And so, we absolutely will ensure equal pay and equal opportunity on all of our projects. Internally within our company, we also will ensure that these voices are represented among our employees. The best rooms are those that have many voices from many backgrounds, and we want TWW to be the best. As we grow, we will always include and elevate these voices so we can become an exemplary entity that will be a leader in making a truly inclusive and diverse future in both entertainment and in real life. Black Lives Matter. Love is Love. Protect Trans Lives. Stop Asian Hate. Equity and Equality to All. In joining groups like GHF and LA Women for Good, TWW can get to its goals more effectively and efficiently.
