Grassroots Global Justice Alliance (GGJ) is an alliance of 60+ US-based grassroots organizing groups composed of and led by poor and working class multi-racial, Latinx, Black, Indigenous, Asian Pacific Islander, Arab, and white communities. GGJ works to strengthen movements for climate and gender justice, an end to the war at home and abroad, and a Just Transition to an Feminist Anti-Racist Regenerative Economy (FARE) in relationship with international social movements. Through our Grassroots Feminism, Global Well-being, demilitaRISE, and Movement Building program areas, GGJ brings grassroots organizing groups into a long-term process of relationship building, political alignment and transformational leadership development. GGJ has historically been a bridge between US-based groups and global social movements, and is taking that movement infrastructure to the next level by developing organizing schools and campaigns towards a Just Transition to a Feminist Anti-Racist Regenerative Economy.

The mission of the young center for immigrant children’s rights is to promote the best interests of immigrant children with due regard to the child’s expressed wishes, according to the convention on the rights of the child and state and federal law. the young center is a champion for the best interests of children who arrive in the united states on their own, from all corners of the world. we serve as trusted allies for these children while they are in deportation proceedings, advocating for their best interests, and standing for the creation of a dedicated children’s immigrant justice system that ensures the safety and well-being of every child. the young center’s goal is to change the immigration system so that children in immigration proceedings are recognized as children, and best interests are made a part of the decision making process.

Bread & roses is a soup kitchen located in the center of lawrence, ma - known as "the immigrant city." founded in 1980, our primary purpose is to ease the hunger in our community by providing a warm, nutritious meal to 120-150 individuals five nights each week - over 50,000 meals in one year. our emergency pantry and community outreach programs deliver over 100,000 pounds of food every year to those in need. we serve those living on benefits, the working poor, and the homeless. all in need are welcome to partake of a community meal in a peaceful, friendly environment. since hunger relief is our main concern, there is no cost for the meal. completely supported by private donations, we are guided by a spirit of hospitality, nonviolence, and respect for the dignity of each person who comes through our door. we have long been a center of hope and caring for thousands in the merrimack valley struggling for survival. from the beginning, people of all different creeds, backgrounds and experiences have joined us as dinner guests, volunteers, and donors. we welcome this diversity, realizing that the coming together of so many is the first step in breaking down barriers and creating a community based on sharing, love, peace and justice.
