Why I joined Mental Health Professionals for Good
I'm interested in the next phase of mental health and physical wellness and the inclusion of peers in the industry. My life experience provides an insight into the underserved clients. I am able to connect, earn trust, and build relationships with clients through a shared walked path, enabling me to encourage, educate, and empower the client into advocacy for themselves and their children. Mental health services for children are more than providing therapy, mental health services for children is wellness for the family, understanding the Care Provider's current status and building from within the home. I'm excited to join this group and learning from the experience and insight here.

Why I joined Oakland Women for Good
I am a Family Peer Specialist serving Alameda County, live in Oakland. I am continuing my Education to build my career in wellness for women who have experienced trauma and crisis. I believe in serving my local community, paying forward what I have learned to build the confidence, worth, and empowerment of other women, most often caregivers/ parents. I provide the encouragement, support, and modelling needed to lift women in their journey towards advocacy, Education, and leadership. I appreciate the opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded women.
