About our group
The Rysheema J. Dixon foundation was established in loving memory of Rysheema Dixon and as a tribute to her by her father, Ronald J. Dixon.
She was a devoted leader and entrepreneur in the Wilmington, Delaware community. In the last decade of her life, Rysheema trailblazed an incredible career in politics, education, and social entrepreneurship; ultimately improving and supporting not only the lives of Wilmington’s residents but internationally, the lives of the people in Liberia.
To continue her legacy, the foundation will, through fundraising efforts, provide grants and scholarships in furtherance of her social causes including the Young Entrepreneurship Program in Liberia and other local projects. We will strive to sustain her mission and actively invest in improving relevant issues such as social entrepreneurship, healthcare, nutrition, education, and youth development; all issues that will have a long-term impact on our local and global society. We believe that this is what Rysheema would have wanted.
