Our Giving Circle
In This Together: A Giving Circle for Women & Girls was created in 2024 to uplift and empower self-identified women and girls in Northeast Ohio through collective giving, shared learning, volunteering, and meaningful connections. We are an inclusive group of women who take a social justice vs. charity approach to giving, by giving out of love and respect rather than out of pity or guilt. We also give with trust, by allowing nonprofits we fund to decide how best to utilize our donations, and by not putting unnecessary administrative burden on them.

- Personal development/education: learning more about issues that matter to us to amplify our donations
- Giving and impact: making a difference on something we care about through pooled donations and volunteering

Membership
Are you a woman in the Cleveland area looking to connect with like-minded women, create greater impact for causes that support women and girls, and learn more about your community while having fun? Join us!
Members commit to:
- Attend quarterly meetings in Greater Cleveland in person
- Donate $100 annually
Process
Each member will donate $100. We’ll pool those funds together, and collaboratively decide which Northeast Ohio nonprofit that serves women and/or girls will receive our collective donation. We'll follow-up our donation with a volunteer event. Then we’ll do it all again the next year!
Our quarterly gatherings will take place in-person during the following months:
- June: In 2024, this gathering will provide an overview of this new group. In future years, this meeting will be dedicated to volunteering at the nonprofit that received our donation in March.
- September: Review the nonprofit nomination process and open the process to members.
- December: The top 3 nominations will be pitched to the group. Then we’ll vote to select an organization to receive our donation.
- March: Celebrate together and present our donation to the selected nonprofit.
