About our group
The Bay Area Collective Giving (BACG) was started in 2017 as a means to pool zakat contributions in order to create a bigger impact in the Muslim Community. Starting in 2020, BACG began partnering with American Muslim Fund (AMF) to help facilitate the giving process. AMF helps to source organizations, ensure zakat eligibility, conduct due diligence of prospective organizations, and facilitate collection and distribution of funds.
Network Affiliation
Founded in 2016, the American Muslim Community Foundation’s focus is on creating giving circles, Donor Advised Funds, distributing grants, and building endowments for the American Muslim community and currently operates seven giving circles.
