About our group
To fundraise for the Sea of Tiberias Foundation charitable activities in Uganda.
Sea of Tiberias Foundation is a registered charitable Organisation headquartered in Uganda and doing charitable activities throughout the country. We help people living in rural and urban extreme poverty to provide and improve their access to food, shelter, safe water, healthcare, and quality education particularly focusing on children, women and elderly.
The organization implements school feeding programs in Uganda with an aim to eliminate classroom hunger by providing a daily lunch meal and breakfast to children in government-aided schools who cannot afford a daily meal and breakfast at school as a vital incentive to enroll and keep them in school. It also implements community feeding programs aimed at providing monthly food hampers to the poor families living in rural and urban extreme poverty targeting children, women and elderly vulnerable to hunger.
The Organisation also implements shelter programs by providing a children’s home for the less privileged, homeless, orphans, semi-orphans and destitute homeless children and an elderly home for the less privileged, homeless, abandoned and poor ailing elderly.
The Organisation provides safe drinking water to vulnerable communities in Uganda by digging and installing wells and boreholes that provide a source of safe clean water.
The organization also implements healthcare programs by building specialized modern hospitals to ensure provision of quality healthcare facilities and services to the poor children, women and elderly in Uganda. The Healthcare Program also ensures provision of ambulances to poor communities to help children, women and elderly access immediate quality medical care.
The organization also implements education program that focuses on Child Education Sponsorship and School Infrastructure Development. The Child Education Sponsorship provides easy access to quality education for the poor child by sponsoring this child’s education from primary level through secondary to university level or tertiary institution while School Infrastructure Development Program ensure that more classrooms, chairs, desks, libraries, kitchens and toilets are added to government aided schools to ensure that every school child can stay in school and learn in a safer and conducive environment.
Sea of Tiberias Foundation is working towards a world where the poor people are transformed into a Healthy, Housed and Educated Community that is free from Hunger.
Sea of Tiberias Foundation draws its inspiration from the Restoration of Peter (also known as the Re-commissioning of Peter) described in John 21 of the New Testament in which Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection and spoke to Peter in particular. Jesus restored Peter to fellowship after Peter had previously denied him and told Peter in three different ways to feed and take care of His sheep.
