A States Project Giving Circle
About our group
A group of creators from all over the United States, but mostly the coasts!
We came together with a sole purpose of determining what we could do to combat the assault on our democracy. As grassroots activists we’ve partnered with The States Project to support state elections.
For the midterms, Creatives For Democracy helped make the Pennsylvania State House blue by electing 12 new Democrat Representatives, giving us a 1 seat majority.
WHY DO STATE ELECTIONS MATTER? Because flipping state houses has a huge impact and can improve the lives of millions of people. Local governments can pass laws that help:
Abortion Rights,
Healthcare access
Voting rights and redistricting
Gun safety
Education funding
Climate policy
Infrastructure
LGBTQ+ rights
AND MORE!
State races are the most effective way to change the direction of our country. Not to mention, your financial contributions go a lot further than with federal races.
Since 2017, the States Project has energized and encouraged members and friends to stand up and have their voices heard...and empowered others to do the same. We hope you will join us, The Creatives For Democracy Giving Circle, to continue the fight!
