State politics dictate so much of both harmful and beneficial political change in America.
Over the past 40 years, the radical Right has invested millions of dollars to build—and hold—state governing majorities, and we see
the terrible impact of that investment every day. The demise of Roe v. Wade, for example, is directly related to a Mississippi state law.
Republican state majorities have been successful in banning reproductive healthcare, dismantling free and fair elections, suppressing the right to vote, and denying people quality, affordable healthcare.
I am working with The States Project, an organization working to shift the balance of power in key states.
