This fund—directed by the https://decolonizingwealth.com/">Decolonizing Wealth Project —aims to move untethered resources that can help shape a future in which we can all heal from generations of colonial trauma and truly thrive in our cultures. The group aims to support Indigenous-led initiatives working for transformative social change.
This is a new, national Giving Circle for Native American professionals and community members that will put into practice our Indigenous values of reciprocity. We believe this to be the first national giving circle of its kind - for us, by us.
Through collective giving, we’ll not only raise money to support Native-led organizations responding to community needs, we also shift harmful narratives through powerful storytelling that highlights that we - as Native people - are the first philanthropists! This circle will be an exclusively Native space - for Natives and led by Natives.
As a Giving Circle member, you will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with various Native professionals and community leaders
- Participate in consensus building and grant decision making opportunities
- Participate in Giving Circle events (orientation, member-only meetings, learning exchanges)
- Be an active financial supporter for Native American-led organizations working at the community level
