A States Project Giving Circle
About our group
Congratulations Burnt Toast Giving Circle! We raised $28,236 for the 2022 midterm elections in Arizona. We held ground in the State Senate and the State House — we are just one seat away from shifting power in Phoenix.
In 2023, we worked with The States Project to elect majority-making candidates in Virginia, where we defended the State Senate and flipped the House of Delegates to put a wall in front of Governor Youngkin's rightwing agenda.
In 2024, we helped bring a rightwing supermajority in NC to give the Governor his veto power back. We won the final seat by 228 votes!
And in 2025, we flipped 13 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates to give that chamber a new 14-seat majority!
This year, we're at it again, focusing on the foundations of democracy in a very big year.
