About our group
We are working with The States Project to elect majority-making candidates who will shift the balance of power in a state legislature because we are distressed about the state of our country and the world that we are leaving to future generations.
We care about:
- Education
- Women’s Reproductive Rights
- Voting Rights
- Healthcare
- Rights of Minorities
- Climate change
- The Environment
- Gun Safety Laws
We recognize that state legislatures control all these issues…. and more. We witness the chaos, discord, environmental damage, and diminishment of human rights that populate state legislatures run by the GOP.
We want a return to stability and to a government that represents the wishes and values of most of its citizens.
To that end, we are working with the States Project to elect candidates who will shift the balance of power in state legislatures.
We believe the States Project’s focused, well-researched and critically evaluated methods to turn state legislatures from Red to Blue is the most impactful action we can take to save our Democracy.
Our Giving Circle is raising money to support candidates for state legislatures that endorse and will work for the issues we’ve listed above – and who have a realistic chance of winning.
In 2024 our focus is on Pennsylvania. In 2024 The States Project sees the opportunity to protect the current State House majority, and work towards shifting the balance of power in the State Senate by 2026. With just half the State Senate seats up for election this year, our goal is to flip three seats to achieve a tie in 2024, in order to win a majority in 2026. New power in the Senate would ensure that all Pennsylvanians could benefit from policies that defend democracy, protect their personal freedoms, and improve lives.
Please join us in making a meaningful donation to support this very important work.
Any one of us is happy to share more about why we value and support The States Project. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
