Black Women Voters' Legacy

Black Women Voters' Legacy is dedicated to increasing knowledgeable and registered voters in the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.)

We need to purchase a database that gives access to voter contact information and voter history in 12 states. The cost of the database is $5,000 per state. In 2022, in addition to our current efforts, with our attorneys, we will assist the marginalized community members as well as the formerly incarcerated with obtaining their state issued photo identification (consists of social security cards and birth certificates) and registering them to vote. We'll expand our advocacy to 12 states in the Midwest to educate community members about H.R.4 "John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021" and H.R. 7 "Paycheck Fairness Act."
