VISION: To disciple and help YoungLives parents grow in their servant-hearted leadership and grow into mentor positions in the YoungLives ministry for teen parents and their families

MISSION: To provide a pathway of leadership growth for teen parents -- in discipleship, goal-setting in various life arenas, service opportunities, and community-building

PLAN: The Junior Leader Program is launching in the Northeast U.S. during Summer 2023. The Program includes the opportunity for teen parents to apply, receive mentoring and education from YoungLives staff, experience cohort learning, and practice servant leadership virtually and in person. Parents and staff also will be empowered by using Lambent Data's OurREACH™ software platform and app for the program curriculum and the parents' other life arenas, such as health, housing, jobs, and parenting.

FUNDING REQUESTED:
Total Cost for Six Months: $34,628
Sponsor a Teen Parent: $636

WHY DONATE?

* Participate in fellowship/worship with seasoned believers

*Acquire a working definition of Servant Leadership
*Gain a greater understanding of how their personal identities shape their leadership
*Develop mentoring and administrative skills to be able to meet the needs of other YoungLives parents
*Reflect on how they interact in a group
*Learn to practice active listening and inclusive community where all belong
*Grow practical skills that will set them up for success in any job (planning, goal-setting)
*Take steps to improve the life outcomes of themselves and their children

This highly effective, collaborative software platform and app will equip the Junior Leaders and staff, in the following ways:

* Empowering Jr. Leaders to improve outcomes for themselves and families in health, Social Drivers of Health, and child development
* Equipping Jr. Leaders to work on day-to-day goals to help reach milestones developed in the Jr. Leader Program
* Facilitating ongoing communication between Jr. Leaders and staff
* Providing customizable dashboard, to help staff track progress and support the Jr. Leaders, as well as to refine the program and scale in the future
