For the past few months, I have been watching and rage spiraling as we seem to be moving backwards in our politics with almost no action from our Federal Government. While most of our attention has been at the federal level, many of the issues I care about - reproductive freedom, police abolition, education funding and curriculum fights, voting rights, gun control - are all being decided at the state level.

Because of this, I've decided to focus my energy this election cycle on the states, specifically my home for the last three years -Minnesota.

While we are known to be a progressive island in the mid-west, we still have a lot of work to do! We have a slim Republican majority in the state senate that has made everything from educational funding to COVID safety more difficult to navigate for our Democratic Governor and House. Plus, the stakes are high for us to remain a progressive hub in the mid-west. With the end of Roe, we are poised to be one of the only states in the area to offer abortion access, which urgently needs to be protected.
