About our group
Shocks such as the COVID pandemic exacerbate deeply rooted inequalities that affect the well-being of children and youth. This includes urban and rural divides, access to education, and mental health support. Concentrated attention is needed to ensure that young people facing deprivation, discrimination, and lack of opportunities can thrive regardless of where they were born and funding is needed change the conditions and systems that negatively impact their lives.
How do the rights of young people to basic needs, education, self-expression, and other areas, fit into the larger picture of human rights? What is the state of philanthropy supporting children and youth across the age and abilities spectrum? What are some innovative approaches that acknowledge the power of young people themselves to create solutions and drive change in their communities? During this Giving Circle, we will explore these questions and more. We will learn from the perspectives of those working with and for young people to create a more promising future for all.
NEID Global membership is required to participate in a Giving Circle and each participant will ultimately be expected to contribute funds. Returning NEID Global members will be asked to contribute a minimum of $1,200 to the circle's pooled fund via Grapevine, while non-NEID Global members are asked to first become members ($750) and then contribute $1,000 to the Circle via Grapevine.
