About our group
The Phoenix Food Forest Initiative is transforming underutilized urban spaces into the nation’s largest community food forest, providing free, fresh produce, fostering agricultural education, and cultivating a stronger sense of community. To honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans and first responders, we’re inviting donors to contribute $5 to “tie” a yellow ribbon around a tree in the food forest. Each ribbon symbolizes gratitude and can be dedicated in honor or memory of a specific veteran, or all who have served. Your $5 donation not only honors our heroes but also supports the growth of this vibrant, life sustaining community project. Let’s plant seeds of gratitude and growth together.
Special Event Notice: On Saturday, February 1 volunteers will plant fruit trees marking the day that the Phoenix Food Forest becomes America's largest.
Generous volunteers are giving their time and local, national and international businesses and organizations are sponsoring the event.
