It's time again to nominate nonprofits! Thank you to those who voted for the "service areas" that we would like to have non-profits nominated within this time around. If you look at the post with the poll, you will see that Services for seniors/senior care is the chosen service are for this quarter.

So, for this cycle, let's see all the nominations that fit into this category 😀!

In order to nominate a nonprofit, you need to have donated to our current cycle. And, here are a few other reminders:

• Nominations must be a 501c3 or an organization with a fiscal sponsor that is a 501c3.
• You might be wondering if nominating nonprofits you’re affiliated with is a conflict of interest — we actually encourage it! It’s a great way to introduce your nonprofit to a wider network and it will still go through the selection process.
• If a nonprofit isn’t yet in the Grapevine directory, that doesn’t mean it can’t be nominated. You’ll simply be prompted to add it and if the organization checks out as a 501c3 in good standing, you’ll be notified that it’s eligible for nomination.

Charity Navigator is a free resource for guidance on finding nonprofits to nominate. You can search by location and cause area: https://www.charitynavigator.org/search

We will randomly select three individuals to present their nonprofit at our Gather & Grant event in January. This will be a simple 5-15 minute pitch (plus 5 minutes for a Q&A afterwards) - no presentation materials required, although they are welcome if desired.

Lastly, here is the timeline you can expect leading up to the January Gather and Grant event:

• Non-profit nominations open: November 1st - December 11th
• Three non-profits randomly selected and notified December 15th
• Gather and Grant event scheduled for January 10th!

Join us for our first Gather and Grant event of 2024 that will be closing out our final 2023 donation cycle! 💰

We will gather to socialize and hear presentations from our nominated non-profits. We encourage everyone to join in person, but will have a Zoom link for those who need it.

Additionally, because this is scheduled over the dinner hour, we would love for everyone to bring a small snack to share with the group 🍪.
