About our group

Persistent hunger, climate change and Covid-19 have underscored the precarious and unjust nature of high-input, global trade-based food systems. A critical challenge is ensuring that families have enough healthy food to eat today while strengthening truly sustainable food systems for future generations.

NEID Global’s Food Systems Giving Circle will meet once a month from January to June to engage in conversation and debate with academic researchers, small farmers from the Global South, Indigenous People, UN agencies, the private sector and more to seek solutions to our broken food system. Together, we will identify giving strategies that make a difference.

NEID Global membership is required to participate in a Giving Circle and each participant will ultimately be expected to contribute funds. Returning NEID Global members will be asked to contribute a minimum of $1,200 to the circle's pooled fund via Grapevine, while non-NEID Global members are asked to first become members ($750) and then contribute $1,000 to the Circle via Grapevine.
