About our group
Welcome Brownsville Professional Women for Good!
Who are we?
We are a group of women who believe in the power of philanthropy! We work in partnership with Grapevine, a community designed with giving in mind, to support deserving causes served by our local nonprofits while empowering our members to embark on a journey of personal and professional growth.
What is our Mission?
The BPWG offers a unique model in philanthropy - offering members the opportunity to learn about the needs of our community and to identify clear, actionable ways to support those needs with small donations that collectively make a difference while enriching our experience by providing opportunities to network and expand our personal and professional growth.
What can a member expect?
The BPWG officially meets 4 times a year at our Gather and Grant events to celebrate the opening of our Voting Cycles. During this event, not only do we enjoy the company of guest speakers who educate the group about topics of interest, but we also have an opportunity to network with other members and local nonprofit leaders from our community.
Commitments
As a good-standing member of the BPWG, each of us commits to donating $100 (plus processing fees and optional tip) each quarter. At the end of each cycle, allocated funds are donated to a community partner of our choosing. 100% of granted funds are used to expand crucial programs and services to those in need in our community.
Your commitment has an impact!
