About our group

We are a group of Community Members, Abolitionists, and Advocates, who will be providing Mental Health Services, Heathcare, and other Classes through CDCR (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation). This will give incarcerated folks the Care they need, Early Release Credits, and sense of Community. Our ultimate goal will be the Abolition of Probation. Through Care First Approaches that won’t be punitive, and will be much cheaper than the cycle of Harm perpetrated by the State via the Carceral System.

We’ll pool $50/month and will meet monthly to push this movement forward.

All of us or none of us!!! Let’s end Oppression in all forms together!!!!

PEOPLE:
We at Artists are Activists, are a group of folks who’ve been Impacted Directly or Indirectly by The United States Incarceral System. Giving circles are a simple but profound concept where a group comes together, pools their donations, and together makes a magnified impact for a community—with our dollars, voice, and actions.

For Artists are Activists, we will need all the support possible to reach even closer to Liberation and Freedom from State Sanctioned Oppression.
I/we’d love to invite you to become involved, and be part of the Solution in Healing our Society.

Join us by December 2021 for our first round of giving to launch in 2022.

PATH FORWARD:
We’re going to put together the infrastructure
Talk to CDCR to see how many facilities we can access
Crash + founding members do outreach
We will build a Solution and Heal Society
