OPAL Environmental Justice builds power for environmental justice and civil rights in our communities.
As a member organization of the Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, OPAL is united with over 60 grassroots organizations across the country, as well as alliance partners across the globe. We are committed to building towards a future which is anti-racist, feminist and regenerative.
GGJ's membership will be gathering in Oakland from October 4-9th to vote on several proposals to guide the network's work over the coming years. Strategic alignment is vital for the kind of systemic change which will impact our frontline communities across the world.
OPAL will be sending a delegation to participate in the Member Assembly to represent our organization and vote on these proposals. While GGJ generously covers most participation expenses, they have asked for our help to offset costs by raising support from within our community.
