Fundraising for HOPE Shelters in Pontiac Michigan. HOPE Shelters is the only year round low-barrier homeless shelter in Oakland County. We take you as you are. We help obtain vital documents, help with connecting to mental health services and primary care services. We also help through the housing process. Last year HOPE Shelters saw around 460 individuals come through their doors and an estimated 200 went to a positive destination. HOPE Shelters currently needs help to maintain the current building. HOPE Shelters needs upport with the new building being built so that we can help more individuals, so that we don't see reports of individuals freezing on the streets, so that we can advocate for those that can't for themselves and so that we can continue to create and maintain a safe environment for the unhoused. Myself, I have been at HOPE Shelters for 9 1/2 years. Even on my hard days I still drive away loving what I do.
