Change the world from anywhere!
YouthCharge brings together groups of 8-12 students from anywhere to virtually tackle an issue they care about. This 19-week program is 100% youth-led and youth-directed. Participants work collaboratively to complete a community needs assessment to determine their focus, raise awareness and funding for those issues, and make grants to organizations.
** It is entirely virtual. Boards can have members from anywhere around the globe.
** It is entirely youth-led. Each YouthCharge board will be independently driven by participants, with support from YouthRoots staff as needed.
** It is entirely experiential. Every meeting has a tangible outcome, and participants gain real-world leadership and change-making skills as they progress through the program.
Applications are rolling. As soon as there is enough interest in any issue, a group will be launched with that focus.

Youth are not only the future, they are the present. Young people should be part of the conversation on how funding is spent to best impact youth issues.
Youth giving to youth-serving organizations.
Participants learn to fundraise as part of the program. They raise 100% of the funding they grant from outside sources.
