From a Preemie Mom and Former Preemie who kept asking outcomes questions without having any tools to advocate for her NICU infant - this is why Preemie Crystal Ball is being created. Families are being blindsided by diagnoses years or even decades after NICU discharge and even into the geriatric years. Instead of musty journal articles with small patient groups that professionals get to review and not learn much - PreemieWorld Foundation is creating a longterm outcomes data portal that helps Preemie Families help one another with shared outcomes, treatments and more. It also helps researchers and professionals with education on how to help families through the lifespan of a premature infant.
