About our group

This Giving Circle aims to foster a greater understanding of Indigenous Peoples by funders and philanthropy: their cosmovision, values, way of life, and rights as peoples. NEID Global is convening this Giving Circle focused on Indigenous Peoples in partnership with IFIP in order to support funders to develop and adopt strategies and practices that prioritize funding to Indigenous Peoples.

The 2022 Indigenous Philanthropy Giving Circle will meet once a month from December to June to promote transformative funding practices that come from a position of respect and appreciation of Indigenous people's leadership, knowledge, diversity, and activism. NEID Global or IFIP membership is required to participate in a Giving Circle and, in addition, each participant will ultimately be expected to contribute funds. If you are already a member of either NEID Global or IFIP, you will be asked to contribute a minimum of $1,200 to the circle pooled fund. If you are not currently a member of NEID Global or IFIP, you are asked to first become NEID Global members ($750) and then contribute $1,000 to the Circle.
