About our group
The mission of Care House is to prevent and reduce the incidence and trauma of child sexual and physical abuse in Macomb County through collaborative, multidisciplinary and effective family-centered activities. We are the only agency in Macomb County providing comprehensive services for child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members. Our services include the coordination of forensic interviews, crisis counseling, trauma-focused therapy, support groups, child safety assessments, victim and family advocacy, child abuse prevention education and referrals to other needed community resources. Since our opening in 1996, Care House has coordinated over 10,000 child forensic interviews and provided support services to over 30,000 people. Families are never charged for any of the services they receive at Care House.
