About our group
The WELL FUND was created in 2018 by the Muslim community of the Woodlands, Texas. Spearheaded by Saneela Hussain, Arif Abdullah and Dr. Mirza Baig, the initiative specifically focuses on furthering educational activities in higher academia. The WELL Fund has partnered with the religious studies department at the University of Texas – Austin to promote open learning and awareness about Islam and Muslims.
The WELL Fund supports UT-Austin’s initiatives on religious tolerance and studies about the Islamic faith and history, Muslim cultures, and current affairs. Through these actions, the WELL Fund hopes to advocate greater understanding and tolerance about Islam and Muslims in the United States.
Network Affiliation
Founded in 2016, the American Muslim Community Foundation’s focus is on creating giving circles, Donor Advised Funds, distributing grants, and building endowments for the American Muslim community and currently operates seven giving circles.
