Supporting educator mental health and well-being requires both building self-care and community care practices.
We coach schools to integrate practices that are tailored and culturally relevant, including healing circles, trainings, and strategic planning.
Most programs for educators focus on self-care and ignore community care and working conditions. Because well-being is not one-size-fits all, we look to the evidence on what helps teachers of color specifically thrive and grow.
Healing circles, rooted in indigenous culture, form the underlying structures that ground our work. Participating in at least 4 healing circles has shown a statistically significant improvement in overall quality of life and mental health outcomes.
Mental health matters. Let’s move together to support educators’ mental health.
