In-Person meet and greet with Coreen Schnepf running for Pierce County prosecuting attorney this fall and is kicking off her campaign this month.

Coreen Schnepf is a prosecutor, a leader, and a fierce advocate for women, families, and survivors. She has spent nearly two decades standing up to violence, holding abusers accountable, and making sure victims are heard, believed, and protected.

As Chief Criminal Deputy in the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office, Coreen leads a team of about 200 people and helps shape how justice is delivered in our community. Her work has focused on some of the most serious cases, including domestic violence, sexual exploitation, and human trafficking, always centering survivors and pushing for systems that actually support them.

Coreen’s story is rooted in hard work and care. Raised in Port Orchard in a big working family, she started working young and became a Certified Nursing Assistant at 17. Caring for seniors, including those with dementia, shaped her approach to justice: lead with compassion, listen deeply, and show up for people in their hardest moments.

She later graduated magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law and built a career focused on protecting the most vulnerable.

Endorsed by Pierce County Prosecutor Mary Robnett, Coreen represents a new generation of women leaders who believe justice should be fair, modern, and rooted in community trust. She is committed to using technology, innovation, and a survivor-first approach to build a system that works for everyone, especially women and families who too often feel overlooked.
