How are donations on Grapevine processed?
The Grapevine Giving Foundation is the new 501.c.3 public charity (EIN #87-2389502) organization associated with Grapevine. With the newly established Grapevine Giving Foundation, the platform will continue this work directly through the foundation, enabling an even faster and more flexible process for receiving and granting donations. đ Getting Started
How is Grapevine different from other crowdfunding and donation platforms?
Grapevine is the only platform dedicated to Giving Circles. Unlike crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter, GoFundMe and others that support one-time campaigns for a specific cause, Grapevine empowers everyday people to come together to connect, pool their donations and decide collectively what nonprofits to support on a recurring basis. This means more people making a difference and more money going to organizations that cover a broad range of sizes, locations, and missions.
Grapevine is more than just a site for collecting donations. We help bring like minded people together to connect around the common goal of giving back by making it easy for them to find and join one of hundreds of Giving Circles across the country supporting specific communities or broader cause areas.
We make it easy to start a Giving Circle by setting up a group page, inviting members and collecting donations on Grapevine in minutes. Whether youâre a small group of friends, a block of close-knit neighbors, or a team of professionals rallying around a cause, Grapevine is your philanthropic home for group giving.
How can I create a Giving Circle?
If youâre an individual donor, giving circle, foundation, company, or nonprofit interested in setting up your own Grapevine Giving Circle, you can start your group right here.
