Why I joined Women Fighting for Women's Rights
When you find yourself standing in a room filled with the feminine energy that females and female identifying persons generate, the empowerment you walk away with is unmatched. Women have been persecuted, condemned, and restricted from the start - think witch trials, Mary Magdalene, Hillary Clinton (just think of how she was treated throughout her campaign - I'm not talking her politics at all, they're irrelevant for the point I'm making), our grandmas and great grandmas or even our moms, and now look at us in our present times. Our daughters have fewer rights than we did and they can't even wear spaghetti straps in school because the exposure of skin may distract a male (how is that her responsibility?). We're moving backwards.
Supporting women's advancement personally and professionally is such an important part of being alive right now.
