We found that encouraging students to speak up to a trusted adult about depression, suicide, grief, abuse and bullying is the first step toward saving a life. These students have the ability to save each other, we just need to give them (and the trusted adults) the tools and confidence to do it.
We exist to unleash a bright future for previously incarcerated women in Arizona. We connect these women to economic, emotional, and community support—vital resources for rebuilding their life on a strong foundation.
To imagine and build the world we want to live in through youth-driven, multigenerational collaboration and justice-centered artistic process and performance that generates reflection, connection and action.
We are a grassroots migrant justice organization based in phoenix, arizona. we develop, educate, and empower migrant communities to protect and defend our families and ourselves in order to enhance the quality of life of our community members. we formed in 2007 in response to the first agreement between police and federal immigration (287g) in arizona. this agreement led to cruel attacks on our community at the hands of maricopa county sheriff joe arpaio. our membership and leadership has always been comprised of those most impacted by anti-immigrant policies and laws: currently and formerly undocumented people, those in mixed-status families, and people of color affected by rampant racial profiling. some of our previous work includes the alto arizona campaign, lifting up the human rights crisis in arizona in the wake of the passage of notorious anti-immigrant law sb1070, and the no papers, no fear ride for justice (undocubus).
