Mission: We foster hope, happiness, and healing for kids with a life-threatening condition and their families. Vision: A world where all children experiencing a life-threatening condition and their families have ongoing support, make memories, and can be A Kid Again. We bring hope, happiness, and healing to children with life-threatening conditions and their families. Since 1995, through the generosity of our volunteers and donors, we’ve been creating year-round Adventures that allow these children to feel like A Kid Again. Beyond Adventures, we provide families with practical support to navigate the challenges of a life-threatening condition. Together, our community of families shares strength, stories, and encouragement, offering a safe space for everyone.
The Revive and Thrive Project combines the power of healing meals with the heart of community service to support a vibrant food system, promote the benefits of healthier eating, and empower the leaders of tomorrow. We pursue this by: -Supporting individuals and their families struggling with serious illnesses (such as cancer) by providing nourishing and healing meals; -Providing teens with culinary skill development while activating their efforts in service to others; -Connecting individuals, local food growers, educators, and healthcare communities to promote a more sustainable local food system. -Providing a multi-generational and multi-cultural program to connect people of all ages and from all walks of life to one another, and their value as an integral part of the community.
Bringing hope and community to families raising kids with disabilities. We host events that are for the entire family to connect and build relationships with other families who are raising kids with disabilities. We want families to have a fun-filled day without worrying about accessibility, food or cost. This happens through large events, mom events, dad events, and worship nights. At our events families who typically feel isolated are connecting with other families who are walking a similar path. Parents and siblings are making friendships with peers who share an understanding of their joys and struggles.
