The Miracle League of Alexandria is comprised of private citizens concerned with supporting recreation and sports opportunities for individuals with special needs.
Our mission is to help Alexandria City Public Schools kindergarten through second grade students learn to read.
Volunteer Alexandria (VolALX) inspires, mobilizes, and connects people, six years and older to improve our community. Volunteers solve local problems and serve as a powerful force toward a healthy, productive and engaged community. Besides connecting individuals and businesses to causes, assisting people in need of court ordered community service, and helping youth to understand the needs Alexandrians are experiencing, they implement events to help families in need, as well as offer anyone interested in serving meaningful volunteer opportunities.
UpCycle Creative Reuse Center is an Alexandria, Virginia based nonprofit that connects creativity and conservation by providing a resource center for reuse materials and a creative making space for the community. At UpCycle, we rethink the traditional notion of waste by collecting cast-offs from our community to serve as creative materials.
