Nathan Bishop is an Irish traditional fiddler, violinist, and teacher based in New Jersey. A mentee of the avante-garde fiddler, Cleek Schrey, Nathan has performed both traditional and experimental music at venues across the greater New York area. He maintains a residency with his Irish band, Faoileán, at Flounder Brewing Co. in Hillsborough and leads the monthly Irish seisiún at that establishment. Nathan currently conducts Hunterdon Musical Arts’ Music for Youth "Saturday Strings" program, assistant conducts the Hunterdon Symphony, and periodically leads the pick-up band for the Princeton Country Dancers. He runs a violin and fiddle studio for students of all ages out of his small cottage in Somerville, NJ.
