Why I joined WOC Nonprofit Leaders for Change
I am a black woman and female founder. I also work for and sit on the board of Sad Girls Club, a non-profit rooted in shifting the mental health stigma within black and brown communities. Since being a part of Sad Girls Club and having now founded my own for-profit company, Twenty Nine Thirty, I've seen and experienced firsthand how hard it is for black women to secure the funding they need and deserve. Joining this organization will allow me to serve as a dot connector— helping women like myself and Elyse Fox receive the support needed to aid their intended mission.
