La Resistance

We are a group of friends in San Francisco who came together after the shock of the 2016 elections to fight to preserve our democracy. We were fearful of losing our democracy, the voice of the people, and we were determined to resist. We named ourselves La Resistance! We initially focused on national elections through donations, phone banking, post carding and canvassing. We now believe we can make the biggest difference with the least resources by working with The States Project to focus on winning governing majorities in swing states by making state legislative campaigns more effective and better-funded. State legislatures should improve people's lives, not pass legislation suppressing the vote, attacking election integrity, restricting a woman's right to choose, and gutting funding for education, health care and the environment.
