A States Project Giving Circle
About our group
IndivisibleWeStand UWS is a dedicated group of grassroots activists working tirelessly to preserve our democracy and create a Blue Wave over the US.
Together with The States Project, we’ve formed IndivisibleWeStand Giving Circle to change the balance of power in state legislatures, where relatively small amounts of money can be powerfully effective in flipping state houses. Given that states control voting rights, reproductive rights, redistricting, policing, healthcare, civil rights, gun control, environmental policy and many other areas affecting all of us in our daily lives, controlling state legislatures is critical to advancing our democratic values.
We helped win a majority of seats in the PA House in November (102-101)! However, the chamber is at risk in a May special election in House District 163. This special election will determine control of the chamber, and we need to hold the Pennsylvania House. The States Project team is working closely with PA partners to make sure we protect the chamber. Our Giving Circle is raising Early Money for PA to help hold the PA House majority — join us!
If we lose this election, Republicans will have a majority in Harrisburg.
The special election will happen on May 16, 2023, and if awareness and turnout are low, anything could happen.
