A States Project Giving Circle
About our group
We are regular citizens – working together – to create a brighter future for our nation and our world. We demand that better future, and we acknowledge that we each must bring our Resilience and our Initiative to make that change into our shared reality. The States Project's Giving Circle model is the perfect vehicle to achieve this goal. A collaboration of >350 people from multiple states (and growing), our Resilience Initiative Giving Circle allows us to pool our energy, experiences, and financial resources to shift power to progressive leaders in key states. In 2022, our Giving Circle continued our prior support of state legislature candidates in Michigan and are also pitching in to help maintain our surprise majority in Pennsylvania
Why state elections? We focus at the state level where we get the most “bang for our buck.” First, state-level elections matter. State legislators enact the everyday laws addressing issues that we care deeply about: healthcare, minimum wage & family leave reforms, environmental protections, redistricting, criminal justice reform, voting rights, and more. Second, state-level campaigns cost a tiny, tiny fraction of national-level elections. Our Giving Circle can have an outsized impact. 100% of the funds raised by our Giving Circle will go towards electing States Project-endorsed candidates.
Make our Resilience Initiative Giving Circle your giving circle with a donation that is impactful and meaningful to you. Your donation supports candidates who are prepared to do the work of the People. By including State level action – where our efforts and donations are most powerful – in your civic engagement, the Resilience Initiative sees a brighter future dawning already.
