We believe in Abraham Lincoln’s reminder that the Civil War was fought to uphold “the proposition that all men are created equal”. We acknowledge the bravery of those who have struggled to defend this right and we commit to furthering “the unfinished work” towards racial equity that our generation has the responsibility to embrace. While their work led them to war, our work will lead us to amplify peaceful collaboration between local communities of diversity with their law enforcement.
Our giving circle provides matching grants that promote positive policing through supporting initiatives that:
1. Educate the community and law enforcement on de-escalation, sensitivity to racial bias, and emphasize the fair and impartial application of the law.
2. Hold accountable the community and law enforcement for the equitable application of the law.
3. Give a platform for transparency between local law enforcement and the community they serve.
4. Celebrate inspiring examples of law enforcement who build bridges with their local communities of diversity.
5. Raise awareness in our daily lives for the need for peaceful advocacy and equal protection of all citizens, no matter their race.
Join us in supporting a fund that can help us all take part in leveraging the efforts of local communities to address their own “unfinished work”!
