About our group
This Giving Circle is part of a community of over 10,000 people who collectively inspire and engage, and expand our networks to impact the most critical centers of power in our country: state legislatures.
We are working with The States Project to help build governing power for state lawmakers committed to improving lives. In 2023, we are focused on Virginia — the only state in the South where rightwing state lawmakers haven’t restricted abortion access since the fall of Roe v. Wade.
In the Virginia State Senate, the rightwing is one seat away from holding the majority. In the House, they hold the majority by two seats. If power shifts in the Senate, there would be a new rightwing trifecta in Virginia — giving them the power they need to restrict abortion access. We cannot let that happen.
Abortion access for millions is on the line — not to mention clean air and water, quality public education, voting rights, and more. We cannot sit on the sidelines. Join us.
