A States Project Giving Circle
About our group
Last year you joined us in supporting NH state legislative elections via this Giving Circle. Some of the winning margins for our candidates were breathtakingly close (Eric Turer won by 15 votes, Ben Ming won by 129 votes, Heather Baldwin won by 137 votes). We are still a few seats shy of the majority, and this year, special elections could be decisive on that front.
With such a narrow margin in the chamber, 198-201, we need to hold every seat (and fight in the specials!) to have the best possible chance to block the rightwing majority’s agenda in the House. For the same reasons, the rightwing is motivated to keep this seat to expand their majority.
