United States, Nationwide
Arts organizations around the country are increasingly struggling to prove their local impact and relevance. With pockets of success being identified within certain regions, it's important to open channels of communication so leaders and organizations can learn from one another. The sharing of best practices and advocacy tools is imperative.

AFTA has a presence in every state across the country. Funders can choose to donate to specific programs, or support the dissemination of resources to communities across the United States. Whether you are interested in creating a national network, or supporting the development of local arts communities, this is the ideal organization. AFTA also uses its local insights to inform federal policy-making, ensuring that the US Congress is aware of the needs and successes of artists and arts organizations across the country.
Alex Sarian's giving strategy
My impact areas of interest include making arts and culture available to young people and people in marginalized communities. With so many organizations excelling at providing services, it's important to support organizations that provide advocacy tools to under-resourced cultural and educational institutions.
